Car Audio And Video: The Way To Customize Your Car
Customizing your car with aftermarket options can include a lot of different items. Two of the most popular ways, though, are to add car audio and video components to your vehicle. These two things, alone, can make your car a better place to be than you ever imagined.
Adding to your car audio options means adding a solid receiver and speakers. Remember that your receiver choice will be the backbone of your whole system. Before you get ready to shop, make a list of features you want. Be sure to list them in the order you want them, because you may decide some features aren't as important once you begin looking at prices. Once you actually go shopping, be sure to take some of your own music along to listen to in your choices. After you've made your receiver choice, you are ready to shop for speakers. Measure your current car speakers to ensure the best selection possible is made. Also, be sure you listen to the speakers at the volume you would normally have on in your car so you can try to imitate how they will sound.
Adding to your car video options can mean a number of different components. You probably want some wireless headphones, a media player (a DVD or VCR), and a video monitor of some type. Depending on the type of system you purchase, you will either get these components in one package, or you will buy them as separate entities. When you decide to invest in your system, you first need to decide where you will put it. You can install it in the front seat, the back seat, or both. If you decide on a front seat system, you can by a receiver with a retractable LCD screen to head your system. These are great if you want to use them for GPS purposes, but they also work for DVDs and video game systems as well. If you choose a back seat system, you have a number of different options. You can get a monitor that will install in your headrest, on the back of your seat, or in the roof of your car. You can even get player/monitor combo systems to save you a bit of space. Whatever system you decide on, though, don't forget about the audio. Some monitors come with external jacks. For others, you'll need some type of transmitter to hear the audio function that comes with your monitor.
Car audio and video components can make the going a bit smoother in your vehicle whether on a long trip or just around town with the kids.
